53 Tending to the Garden

Once upon a time I believed life was about gathering things.

Material things.

Friends.

Knowledge.

Beliefs.

I naively believed that accumulating more was the path to happiness.

Paradoxically, life continues to teach me something different.

More and more, I see everything as a stepping stone—here to serve the journey for a time.

Sometimes the most loving thing we can do is let go.

Not because something was wrong...

but because holding on can quietly fill the space where new growth is waiting to emerge.

Today I was called to tend to the garden.

To pull a few weeds.

To bless what had completed its season.

To create space for... I don't yet know what.

And somehow, that feels enough.

With gratitude and blessing, I let go.

I feel lighter.

I can breathe a little deeper.

May what has emerged continue to reveal itself. 🙏🏻

About the Podcast

When the Heart Calls
Listening inward when something more is calling.
When the Heart Calls is a reflective podcast exploring the moments when life quietly invites us into a different way of seeing, choosing, and participating.

These recordings are field notes from an unfolding journey. They are shared not to teach listeners what to think, but to create the conditions in which they may recognize something already true within themselves.

The three seasons offer living thresholds into that exploration:
Season One — Recognition
Listening for what is becoming recognizable.
Season Two — Participation
Responding to what is revealing itself.
Season Three — Stewardship
Tending a deepening relationship with the field.

There is no prescribed starting point. Listeners are invited to enter wherever something calls—and to trust their own recognition.
